Vitalsens wireless monitor soars to new heights in London

Intelesens’s newly launched Vitalsens multi-parameter, body-worn, wireless monitoring device featured at the recent launch of the University of Aberdeen’s Rural Digital Economy Hub which took place at the top of the BT tower in London.

Researchers at the University have been working with Intelesens for some time evaluating the company’s technology for mountain rescue applications. During the summer, Intelesens was invited to join the Hub and it is envisaged that the company’s products and technologies will provide vital solutions to some of the rural healthcare challenges being defined by the University led group.

The University was awarded £12.4 million of funding in April by the Research Councils UK (RCUK) Digital Economy Programme, led by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), to create the centre which will investigate how digital technologies can transform rural communities, society and business.
